Sarah has a love for people, cultures, and languages. Being a sign language interpreter has been an amazing way to combine that love and with her passion for serving those around her. She finds it very satisfying to be a part of helping people connect, grow, and improve both themselves and their lives. She is very comfortable working in a variety of settings but has a special love for “interpreting adventures” such as rock climbing, white water rafting and skiing.
Sarah graduated from Gardner-Webb University with a degree in American Sign Language that focused on Interpreting and (child) psychology. Since 2010, Sarah has remained current with VQAS standards. For many years she has participated in numerous workshops and classes to improve her skills, not only in sign language and the Deaf community, but in the fields
she serves.
Sarah has worked in the interpreting field for more than 20 years. She has spent more than 15 years in education interpreting in a variety of classes ranging from pre-k to technical school to advance level college courses.
